Thanks for posting. I’m sorry to hear that my notice was the first you have heard of the closure. Imagine your surprise had you turned up to check your mail box on June 1st and found the whole kiosk gone!
Canada Post are not offering “alternate locations”, however. All they have offered, as far as I know, is free mail forwarding to another address for six months, using their standard mail forwarding service. This could be to any address in Canada, or you could rent a new box at another postal outlet — presumably one close to the airport — and have your mail forwarded to that.
But the goal of this website is to convince Canada Post to keep the Airport Postal Outlet in some form somewhere at the airport. We’ve had no understandable explanation so far as to why this is not an option.
